Mental Health Awareness Training | 2 hours

Date: April 17, 2025

Time: 12pm - 2pm EST

AFGE has been providing up-to-the-minute health and safety information on the pandemic and guidance to help you protect yourself and your co-workers, your fellow union members. We believe mental health is an important part of workplace health and safety, and we need to address it as we do other workplace exposures.

To help you learn more about mental health and wellbeing, we began offering mental health awareness training in collaboration with the Kaiser Permanente Labor Management Partnership. Together, we have conducted several awareness programs and a training for those who want to conduct their own training at their workplaces.

We’re glad to be continuing our Mental Health Awareness training with Kaiser Permanente. This interactive workshop is ideal for stewards, local leaders and members looking for ways to support members and co-workers. It is intended to raise awareness of mental health conditions and create a stigma-free workplace. The skills we learn in this class can help us cope with the challenges of our new normal and provide methods to support our members and coworkers who may be struggling at work and at home. The class is free of charge, but seating is limited and so we are asking that participants commit in advance to this date and time.

We hope you will join us for this class and become an advocate for mental health and wellbeing in the workplace.
